Living in a town where the heat reflects tension throughout the streets and the silhouette of paper dances with rhythm in the wind of the night.
Within my haste, dodging traffic & puddles before the yellow light turns red, I stopped to control my breathing.
With the smell of urine and alcohol misting from the alley’s opening, I had to put on my “Game face”
You see, if you wanted to hang out with my older brothers and their hoodlum friends, shooting dice and lying to each other, you had to wear your “Game face” to keep the riff-raff from talking static in your face.
This was my childhood where I lived and later realized, no matter how far I‘d run, my past would always bring me back within my memories.
This is my DNA that lives in my art work.
I hope you’ll enjoy the journey within my past, present, and my tomorrow.
Enjoy the DNA.
